In the midst of summer 2021, there is an element of doubt regarding the way Rotary will continue to provide those human connections Rotary members valued over the years. Although the mantra of "hands-face-space" is sure to be commonplace in our organization, it's obvious that trust is increasing and there are more face-to -face connections. Rotary has indeed changed. It is not without a degree of uncertainty as we move into summer 2021. It remains to be seen how the personal connections Rotary members valued in the past will continue. But it's clear, that the hands-to-face mantra will continue to be an integral part of the Rotary routine. Rotary has changed. Rotary is a community that fosters long-lasting friendships. Read this article 1. Amanda Watkin: General Secretary's column in Rotary magazine In a Rotary Survey that was very reassuring, I observe that a majority of the members are continuing with their previous programs and initiatives that have benefited the communities in Great Britain. Rotary Support Centre team is continuing to offer valuable tools which help to promote these initiatives and to maintain the infrastructure that keeps people and members safe; compliance and insurance are important We know that volunteering via the community of Rotary creates lasting friendships built by the common experience volunteering for the community's benefits. The inventiveness and creativity of our members when it comes to finding solutions to some of the most challenging challenges is astounding and I am so thankful that the opportunity to be a part of Rotary was offered to me in 2002. Rotary also has provided me with a great group of people who are like-minded. I am grateful for this. Everyone should invite their friends and family to Rotary, and we can truly make a positive difference.
