But it's clear that the hand-to-face tradition is going to remain part of our daily routine. Rotary, however, has developed. There is still a level of uncertainty as we move through summer 2021. It is yet to be seen how the personal connections Rotary members cherished in the past will continue. While the traditional 'hands in face space' will undoubtedly remain a part of our daily practice, it's evident that the confidence building is evident and more face-to-face connections are being made. The reality is that Rotary is changing. Rotary is a community that fosters long-lasting friendships. The outbreak has forced us to improve our technology practices. Our business remains online while also reintroducing our social and service activity. The new possibilities were accompanied by our most effective pre-pandemic strategies to provide a fresh and exciting future for Rotary. In a recent Rotary survey it was heartening to find that 75% of clubs have started organizing their activities regular activities" The warmer months saw many of our club members on the move, focusing on various projects like river and beach cleans litter picking and of course our ongoing support for the community from Rotary volunteer teams giving their time and energy to help COVID vaccine and test centers. While I'm extremely proud of the fact that Rotary Centre continues to support the communities of Great Britain and Ireland, Rotary Centre continues to support numerous community initiatives which benefit participants of Rotary and ensure their safety as well, compliance and insurance are vital. Our members' creativity and creative thinking when it comes to dealing with some of life's toughest challenges is astonishing. I am grateful for the opportunities Rotary provided me in 2002 with the opportunity to become an active part of the club. Rotary gave me a trusted community of like-minded individuals that have allowed the development of genuine friendships.
